Ruth Marie McReynolds Bullard

Loving sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Ruth Marie McReynolds Bullard, 91, of Trinity, North Carolina was greeted by our Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Hospice House in High Point, North Carolina. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church and cherished her church family and singing in the choir. Her true love and passion was for serving Christ through her church. She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking and gardening. She will be remembered as a gentle, loving woman with a deep faith in the Lord. Ruth was born May 27, 1935, the daughter of Jay W. McReynolds and Frances Booher McReynolds, in Bristol Virginia. Ruth graduated from Hamilton High School in Mendota, Virginia, where she lettered in varsity women’s basketball. After graduating from high school, she was employed by Bell Telephone company in Bristol, Tennessee as a switchboard operator. Ruth met and married Ben Dewey Bullard in 1953. Ruth and Ben moved to the Archdale/Trinity area in 1965 and remained members of the community until their passings. Ruth became a switchboard operator for Pilot Life Insurance. She studied hard and earned her LOMA certification to become an insurance underwriter for Pilot Life and later Jefferson Pilot. Ruth retired from Jefferson Pilot in 2001. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Sheila Cruthis of Port St Lucie, FL; her grandchildren: Scott Moore of Fayetteville, NC, Michael Cruthis of Lafayette, CO, Megan Cruthis Davis of Port St Lucie, FL; great grandchildren, Steve Moore of High Point, NC, Dylan Brooks of Trinity, NC; Jack and Daniel Davis or Port St Lucie, FL. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ben Bullard, her daughter, Donna Bullard Gunter, and her grandson, Brian Moore. Funeral service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 6499 Highway 62, Trinity, NC on July 14, 2026. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 12:45 pm at Trinity Baptist Church followed by the service at 1:00pm with Pastor Morris Little officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Cemetery, 401 W Holly Hill Road, Thomasville, NC. Cumby’s Funeral Home of Archdale will be handling the funeral arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, PO Box 9, Trinity, NC 27370. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of Ruth’s friends, family and extended families for all the support and assistance during her time on this beautiful Earth. Thank you.
