Brian Scott Walker

Brian Scott Walker, 62, passed away on May 21, 2026. He was born September 20, 1963, in Sanford, FL, to Henry Franklin Walker and Alice Marie Wells Harris. Brian was a cherished presence in the lives of those who knew him—steady in judgment, diligent in all he undertook, and marked by a compassion that showed itself in quiet, faithful service and thoughtful care for others. Even in serious moments, his gentle humor could bring comfort and light. Brian pursued his education with purpose, earning an associate’s degree from Seminole Community College and a bachelor’s degree in science from David N. Myers College. He built a respected career as a senior buyer for Bison, affiliated with Ametek, where his strong work ethic and dependable character were evident to colleagues and friends alike. In June of 1989, Brian met the love of his life, Diana, and they were married on September 29, 1991. Together they raised their daughter, Sheila, and Brian devoted himself to his family with a selfless constancy that never sought recognition. He especially treasured time with his grandchildren—Kiley, Madelynn, and Nathan—finding joy in the everyday moments that become lifelong memories. Brian delighted in simple pleasures: chocolate chip cookies, trips to the beach, and boogieboarding with Nathan. He enjoyed taking Kiley to Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball games, and he loved taking Madelynn to her piano lessons, followed by a bite to eat—small traditions that reflected his attentive, caring nature and the warmth he brought to those around him. His faith was a guiding strength throughout his life. At church, Brian taught Sabbath School, and he ended every class by playing his harmonica to the tune of “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus,” a familiar and comforting close that many will remember with gratitude. Brian had a big heart and was always available whenever he was needed. Kind, thoughtful, and deeply devoted, he was a great son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and mentor, and he will be greatly missed. Brian was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Nancy Young. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Diana Walker; his daughter, Sheila Williams; five grandchildren, Kiley Walker, Matthew Yount, Madelynn Williams, Nathan Williams, and Sarah (Anthony) Heiss; two great-grandchildren, Aria and Gabriel Heiss; and one great-grandchild on the way; and brother Keith Walker. Family will receive friends Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Advantage Funerals and Cremations of Archdale, NC, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church (The Methodist Church), 608 National Highway, Thomasville, NC 27360, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Dinner will follow the service.
